Lodging
What are some options for lodging?
Calling takes place at The Scandanavian House in Manhattan. Because we understand the high cost of traveling and staying in New York City, we've compiled a few nearby hotel options.
Nearby Hotels:
Affina Shelburne **
Jolly Madison Tower Hotel NYC
St. Giles Hotel New York – The Court
70 Park Avenue – A Kimpton Hotel
** We have a Business Perks discount for Affinia Hotels and reservations that can easily be made via their website.
You can go directly to

www.affinia.com enter in your Corporate Code QIDEA. Reservations can also be made by calling the Business Perks Reservations Department at 800-207-8483 and requesting the PERKS rate at your hotel of choice.
Other helpful tips:
- To find the best deals, we recommend using hotels.com, priceline.com, expedia.com and the like.
- Manhattan is just one of the five boroughs that make up New York City, and there are hotels in the other boroughs that might be cheaper than a Manhattan hotel. The Calling venue is also located conveniently near the 4, 5, 6 green line subway trains. Other options are Jersey City, Newark and Hoboken, NJ — all of which offer public transportation options into Manhattan.
- Many monasteries in the area welcome pilgrims on a journey through New York City. Click here for a list of monasteries in NYC if interested.
- Consider staying at a hostel in Manhattan or a surrounding borough, rather than a hotel. Click here for a list of some hostels in New York City.

Do I provide my own transportation to and from the event?
Yes, each participant is responsible for their own transportation to New York City and to the event venue each day. See our recommendations above for lodging options.
