Leadership can be lethal. For every public figure who falls from grace, there are countless others who, while outwardly excelling, are inwardly wasting away. W hy is this so? Is it simply the price of leadership? Or, is it possible to lead the way without losing ourselves along the way?

Tommy Hinson is the founding pastor of Church of the Advent, an Anglican church in the heart of Washington DC. Planted five years ago, Advent is part of RenewDC, a gospel-centered church planting initiative where Tommy serves on the leadership team. With his wife, Laura, he is co-producing a feature documentary, MAMA RWANDA, about Rwandan mothers transforming their lives through entrepreneurship. Tommy has also worked as a mental health counselor, focusing on trauma and addiction recovery.
