Why We Can't Change the World
by
Andy Crouch
We're encouraged when we see others casting huge visions and undertaking significant initiatives; we're inspired to go out and do something that will change the world. But what if we've gotten it wrong when it comes to how the world is changed? Consider some thoughts that are guaranteed to challenge your assumptions.

Nelson was not thrown into jail just because he was black or he did not agree with apartheid.
Cape Town now considered gay capital of the world.
South Africa became one of the most dangerous places in the world with one of the most corrupt governments in the world unemployment at a all time high aids well that don't need any explanation .
Nelson is/was not the fuzzy warm transformer that people think .
I saw your video in Sunday school today I do get the message but using a political activist like him as an example I did not like who's next Stalin , Castro , Hitler ?
God Bless you in your mission
Hannes
PS. Yes you guess is right , I am a South African now living in the U.S.A.
No I am not a racist.

Dude you are racist and I am South Africa too.
And yes Nelson was imprisoned for his views against apartheid and yes he could not have fought against apartheid if he was not black. I don't know which South Africa you come from but its does not fit the one we still live in now so please your comments above are miss placed.
Thanks Andy for a good talk. I have also been reflecting on Hunter's book "To change the world" and I am beginning to agree that perhaps we aren't called to change the world the way we thought. I would love to hear some more.
