Standing on the Wall
How Will Peace Come to the Middle East?
by
Elias Chacour
The most important intersection for world peace lies in the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Yesterday, John Kerry gathered with representatives from Israel and Palestine to begin a new round of peace negotiations between the two entities. It's been three years since the last set of talks dissolved over Israeli settlements and negotiated borders. Though met with skepticism, Kerry insists the two can make peace in nine months, "because they must." In this important Q talk, Melkite Catholic Archbishop of Israel and author of
Blood Brothers
, Father Elias Chacour, calls for peace. He insists that Christians can stand on the wall and they do not have to take sides.
