3 Ways to Support Science from Within the Church
Clip from
Overcoming the Faith and Science Divide
by
Alister McGrath
Is the attitude of the Church toward modern science a help or a hindrance to scientists who follow Jesus? Alister McGrath, a former atheist and scientist who is now a prominent theologian, implores the Church to help believing scientists see themselves as men and women who are able to meet the unique hardships of their discipline. McGrath asks us to reassure, encourage, and challenge these scientists.

Dr. McGrath is bang on with his advice. Last year I preached 4 sermons on faith and science.... changed our community! Scientists helped write sermons on wound healing, the large Hadron Collider, neurons and the false dichotomy of Faith v Science, and were greatly encouraged to be part of the process. All scientific truth is God's scientific truth. We need to engage this text fully in order to worship him fully.
