Rick Lynch
Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch has commanded at all levels of the Army, from company (100 soldiers) to Corps (65,000 soldiers) to commander of all U.S. Army installations (120,000 civilian employees and soldiers worldwide). He spent a total of over thirty months in Iraq, including fifteen months as one of the leaders of the 2007 surge, and is now executive director of the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute. He and his wife of thirty years, Sarah, live in Texas.
