Live the Gospel, Restore the World
by
Q Ideas
If you’ve ever wondered why Q is what it is, this might help.
We believe that God wants shalom—the Gospel centered, all renewing, peace-making, love of God and neighbor that represents the way things ought to be—to permeate our world. God chooses to show up through people. Imagine that: God being stuck with us to show the world His vision for how things should be.
But some Christians are confused; unsure of their role in our world, unclear about how the Gospel relates to everyone, losing confidence in how their faith relates to their work, their late-night conversations and to anyone in the “real” world.
We see it differently.
Many Christians are regaining confidence in the relationship between their faith and everything in the world. They know this truth to represent God’s grandest hopes for all people, for our cities, communities, industries, and the world. This realization motivates all things Q.
So more than just a book, the new edition of
The Next Christians
paints a clear picture of how these restorer-minded Christians are engaging in our new context. As Christianity’s credibility is questioned on evening news shows, daily blogs, and satirical comedic rants, a group of Jesus followers who are holding tightly to the Gospel and the call to be restorers, are rising just as fast.
Q was birthed out of Gabe Lyons’ desire to galvanize Christians around the concepts he addresses in his book. The message of this book and this organization are inextricably linked.
This new edition of
The Next Christians
(just released in paperback with a new chapter, subtitle, and cover design) aims to democratize this "restoration" conversation. The heart and vision for this book, however, were never meant to remain exclusively on pastors’ bookshelves. The call to live the gospel and restore the world is one that every Christian can pursue in their daily life and work. And as the new subtitle suggests,
The Next Christians
will help you discover practical ways you can live the Gospel right where you are at.
John Ortberg, bestselling author and pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in California, described it like this: “The Next Christians is a revolution tightly packaged within a book. As a pastor, this book was game changing for me and the people of my church…every person should read it. This is the future!”
The Next Christians
has already been received incredibly well; church leaders representing multiple denominations, from liberal to conservative, have embraced the call to live the Gospel and restore the world. But it can’t stop there. This message must get into the hands of every, single Christian.
